Welcome to the website of St Michael’s, Thurmaston.
Our church is in Thurmaston, a village suburb on the northern edge of Leicester. The Church parish is located partly in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire and partly in the city of Leicester. We are one of the eight churches in The Fosse Team within the Goscote Deanery of the Church of England and Diocese of Leicester. The eight churches of the Fosse Team, together with the Parish of Birstall and Wanlip and Nearer form the Two Rivers’ Mission Partnership.
If you wish to learn more about being a Christian, please click on the links provided, or come along to our church services, and other activities – you will be made very wecome. Remember – there’s no need to get dressed up – just come as you are. Also, you can choose how involved you want to be – some people like to come along and watch what’s going on, and others like to participate more fully. Please feel free to contact us. We will be very happy to hear from you.
Our Sunday services usually end with tea, coffee, and biscuits at the back of church. Toilets and car parking are available at Thurmaston Old School, opposite church. Arriva run a bus service that passes the church.
The stewards (those welcoming people into church) will be happy to point you in the right direction if asked.
Very occasionally we need to change our plans, so please contact us to check dates, times, and venues before making a special or long journey to be with us.
Please do contact us if we may be of assistance. We look forward to welcoming you, or hearing from you soon.
