Event from 2.00pm – 5.30pm with Christmas Tree Festival at St Michael’s Church, Thurmaston; Stalls and refreshments at Thurmaston Memorial Hall and Thurmaston Old School Community Centre. Christmas lights will be switched on at dusk.

Street Nativity – a delightful event with children in costume, making the journey with Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, singing as they go and knocking on doors trying to find somewhere to stay. Eventually they are offered a stable for the night, where they rest and wait for the birth of the baby, Jesus. This is a fun event and if your child would like to take part in this procession, come along in costume (there will be a few available on the day) meeting at the Memorial Hall at 3:15pm. For further details contact Sheila 0116 2207378.

For the safety of pedestrians, Melton Road will be closed to vehicles between 12noon and 6.00pm from White Hart Close to Lea Close. Access for emergency service vehicles only.
